El Barça, a Semifinal gracias a Henry /The Barça, thanks to Henry, on Semifinals
El Barcelona accedió a las Semifinales de la Copa del Rey gracias a un solitario gol de Henry en 180 minutos (1-0; 0-0 en la ida), pero en el partido de vuelta en el Camp Nou todos los elogios se los llevó un inspirado Leo Messi, que volvió a cuajar una sensacional actuación, y también el meta del Villarreal, Diego López, quien paró un penalti al argentino.
El encuentro se decidió en los últimos minutos de la primera parte, en la que en dos acciones de Messi, la joven estrella argentina sacó dos amarillas a Cygan, que acabó expulsado. En la primera de las dos faltas, Henry marcó de cabeza el gol barcelonista.
Además de la sensacional actuación de Messi, en ocasiones excesivamente individualista, brilló también el meta Diego López, quien dio gran seguridad y neutralizó casi todo el peligro con grandes intervenciones.
El Barça se lanzó a por el partido desde el primer minuto, a partir del cual se hizo con el control del balón, aunque tuvo los problemas habituales en el Camp Nou, especialmente cuando el rival sólo le dejó jugar en tres cuartas partes del campo por adelantar la defensa.
El equipo de Manuel Pellegrini mantuvo la compostura atrás con una disciplina defensiva, que también se benefició por la nula movilidad de los tres atacantes del Barça (Messi, Bojan y Henry). A pesar de este orden, el Villarreal no sabía sacar el balón por la presión asfixiante de una media del Barça que se hartó de robar balones.
Poco a poco el Villarreal fue reculando por el empuje barcelonista y por una animación en el Camp Nou desconocida (la megafonía con música se escuchó durante el partido). Henry empezó a solicitar balones y a encarar la meta, igual que Messi. Atrás, Diego López, muy seguro, resolvió con acierto todo lo que le llegó.
La primera aproximación de Villarreal llegó en el minuto 16, en un error en el pase de Zambrotta, que interceptó Senna, pero en la acción final Rossi disparó fuera.
Messi se volvió a echar al equipo a la espalda y de sus botas y sus 'eslalon' empezaron a producirse las jugadas más peligrosas del Barcelona. Márquez, en el minuto 21, estuvo a punto de inaugurar el marcador, pero un defensa le saló el balón en el momento apropiado.
Seis minutos después se produjo la jugada del partido hasta el momento, cuando Diego López rechazó en dos ocasiones el balón, disparado por Messi, y en la tercera acción, Deco lanzó alto. Nuevamente Messi, en el 34, quiso resolver en una acción individual que el meta atajó.
En esta última jugada, el argentino mantuvo la compostura en el área, después de que Cygan le hiciese penalti, que el árbitro no señaló porque el barcelonista continuó con la acción. Diferente fue en el minuto 41, cuando el francés Pascal Cygan aplacó al argentino, tras cuya falta Henry cabeceó a gol (1-0).
En la siguiente acción, tras el tanto barcelonista, Cygan volvió a cometer falta a Messi en la frontal y el árbitro le enseñó la segunda amarilla y se expulsó. La falta la lanzó Messi y Diego López, en el minuto 45, volvió a realizar una feliz intervención.
La segunda parte fue absolutamente del Barcelona. El Villarreal, con un jugador menos, dio un paso atrás y esperó un contragolpe que no supo armar, ya que fue incapaz de quitarle el balón a los barcelonistas.
El partido entró en una fase de dominio total de los locales, pero también de aburrimiento, en la que los barcelonistas movieron una y otra vez el balón sin profundidad. Sólo las acciones de Messi elevaron el tono del partido. En el minuto 54, el argentino llegó a sortear hasta a cinco jugadores dentro del área levantina, y en el 64 volvió a realizar una grandísima acción, pero sin recompensa en el marcador.
En el minuto 75, la rutina en el partido se rompió con la entrada de Ronaldinho en el campo, pero mientras esperaba en la banda, una pase largo de Xavi lo controló Bojan, y a la salida de Diego López, el joven barcelonista cayó al suelo y el árbitro señaló un penalti muy protestado. Messi lanzó a la derecha del meta, que le aguantó todo lo que pudo, y paró neutralizó la pena máxima.
